Some tire and wheel questions and options

so here i am, barely a week into owning my 04 OB sedan and already the bug is hittin me. i am thinkin of painting or PC'ing the stock 6 spoke 17's a metallic gunmetal and puttin on some 235 or 245 45 or 50 series sticky tires for summer. now, can i fit a 245/45zr17 on a stock rim? will the Auto trans notice? will the ABS or Traction control notice it? im not a big fan of bigger wheels namely because of price and the fact that the polie up here in Ontario will find any reason to pull you over, rims included!, Dont get me worng, id love to finda set at a decet price used in 18 or 19" but til then id rather fly under the radar, the same reason i am disputing doin a coupe mid pipe with a resonator and z tube with a stillen CAI box instead of an HKS exhaust and fancy CAI.

every time i see one of these it turns me on...but its FWD...honda and overpriced... which is why i love my G so much...but to give it a similar look would be the cats *** while still retainint that G look and lines.!

I know the feeling. My car was a day old when I blew over $3k on mods.

You can run a 235 on the stock rim. I would not go wider than that. Try and keep the overall diameter as close to stock as you can. The ABS, VDC and TC will be fine. It only doesn't like it when the front and rear are too far off in diameter from each other.

You ran run a 235-50-17, and it will nearly identical in OD, to the stockers. I couldn't justify a ton of cash for rims, so I got a set of 18 350 track wheels, off my350z, for cheap. Wheels came with TPS, and shot tires. For rougly 1400 they are ready to go with new tires mounted.
