I paid $140 for my tint. It's metallic base and even at 45%, it keeps out a good amount of heat and light that psases through the tint and on to my skin doesnt burn like untinted windows (UV rays blocked).

VQ here's the Pix some in direct sunlight some more overcast all on different days

I think you get what you pay for when I comes to tint. I went with the Formula 1 brand and paid $280 with a lifetime warranty. It cost a little more but its a good tint and the shop I took it too has won awards for their tinting skills.
I paid around $180 for 30% on all side windows, 15% on the back window, and 15% for the top strip across the front windshield. No more burning myself on black leather seats!
perry I think i have the same tint as you. It came with the car and ive always hated the greenish look it had. How can check to see if i do have the type of tint you are running.
V-kool is a metallic tint, pretty much all metallic tint will have that green color to them on the G35 because the glass is greenish.

Not that green, PS brought more green than there is in rel life.
To the OP, check out California Tint in rosemead, it's a very popular place and they did a very nice job on my tint.

The best way to tell is by touch if the tint is still cool on the inside even with being in direct sunlight it's V-Kool. Other than that maybe a tint shop could tell you from close inspection I still have my warranty paperwork so that's my proof of what I have. It's really reflective but I would say it's a darker shade of green than ceramic.

ok guys, i think i made a mistake in getting a new darker tint job. the inside of my car was never as hot as it is now. no joke. i think my previous tint was ceramic bc it was lighter and did have a green hue to it. (thats why i didn't like it). i dont even think this is vcool.
