hate to break it to you, but g35s arent fast. bolt ons are mainly just for sound. compared to other cars, you will spend $1000s just to gain 10-20 rwhp. if you want to be fast, go fi. otherwise, you're just going to upset yourself as you've already noticed.

I thought trey proved it other wise?

if this is the case, then I will return my exhaust back to stock. I would keep the h/f cats only if they did not have rasp. it was very dissapointing when i first installed them

i felt the same way with mods on the vq35 without a tune...
there are people on my350z who are having luck with bolts on on their vq35 (both rev-up and non-revup), however, alot of them have a tune or at last a reflas to dial their bolts on in...

Good call with going with a setup that pleases you (either sound, look, or feel) rather than going for power ... we won't go too far without FI

Have you tried a uprev cipher or others...

Have you hooked up a uprev cipher or other OBD-II progammer/scanner to see whats actually going on. I'm currently considering a Autoenginuity (sp?) or uprev cipher. I think for DIY'ers like us its a must and it helps you verify which mods are working.
