Show me your OEM "looking" modded cars

Cmon, lets see what you got. im talkin stuff that police and bystanders alike would 'think' is stock even tho its modded. things like understated 18's or 19's or coupe wheels or M wheels, blacked out trims. "stock looking engine bays, exhausts that dotn scream "LOOK AT ME", body kits, bumpers, lip spoilers etc etc etc. Reason i ask is because i am leaning toward going with a stealth looking car this time around, my last incarnation was a loud, gas guzling, obnoxiously loud twin turbo'd 6 spd Impala SS on 20x10's and it was a BEacon for the man in blue, al ways had my stuff in order though and im a very law abiding person. Now for the rub...or is it Irony? Im on the waiting list here in my hometown to get onto the police force and having grown up a lil and been working in the fraud and security field forever it was an obvious fit. the catch...? is im still a car nut, but this time around i wanna do something people will look at and think "wow! i didnt know infiniti did something like that" as well as beign very under tha radar to the local boys in blue since tickets wint exactly help my chances :P. so far im thinking of going with OEM coupe 18's or M 19's, H tech springs, z tube and modded stock air box with a drop in for noise control. Coupe midpipe...maybe an HKS muffler, 06 bumper, X lip kit, paint lower trim, rear lip,de-badged, blacked out chrome trim and handles, things like that. NOW...Im not trashing the big shiny 4000$ polished wheesl etc. im jsut looking for ideas on things that "look" OEM or are, jsut from other models. this is a winter driven daily driver so there another reason im not gonna shell out piles of money on fancy wheels to use em 6 months a year.

LOL. not exactly eh!

like i said, i did the TT sedan thing and sadly they are right, it was like trolling for traffic officers. between the 20" forged wheels, the twin GT32's, twin Turbosmart BOV's and 18x18" FMIC it had TICKET written all over it. I still own that car and now you can pass evrythign but a gas station. :P although id kill to have my G setup like yours! thats one bad *** sedan!

first, kudos for actually reading the site and learning about what can be done. you'll shed n00b status much faster.

i like the stealth look, it's something i consider with every mod i do or want to do.

dude the term for the mods you are talking to would be "stealth" and no one here has that because wtf would the point be? If you are not worried about "bling" and you want to mod your car you are likely doing it for performance which is hard to do with out altering the appearance and sound of the exhaust and engine bay.

weird post

hardly tho. My 550RWHP impala SS would be a wolf in sheeps clothing if i put a set of stock looking 17's on it with no external bovs but recirculating into the charge piping, a couple more resonators inthe exhaust, No HID headlights etc etc. Its a style. i have been at the other end of it too. hell probably far more so than most on this board, i have owned air bagged and body dropped pickups on 22" wheels before this. all im getting at is it like the less is more style where the car apperas kinda stock but is in reality a very modded car, only done in such a way that it takes a true enthusiast to see it

there is alot you can do to look stealh. forget about the muffler, it doesnt do anything but attract unwanted attention. and no tint. get summer tires on factory rims and you be golden, all other mods are undetectable to the naked eye. like NOS and suspension mods.

If you want bigger rims, but want to look stock go for the 19" Coupe forged rims. They look like the sport ones on the sedan.

coupe wheels, Z suspension. Looks factory to everyone else, but noticeable enough to keep me smiling.
