Gone and done it now! :p, my first mod

pulled the stock air box and paper filter out as well as the resonator intake tube, replaced the filter with a drop in K&N, pulled the power duct off and opened up the slot and retrofitted the orginal power ductback on but widened 2" (cut it in 2 and then glued a piece of abs plastic to widen the piece and make it one again. looks stock!!!, then plugged the bottom of the air box's resonator with a lip that fit perfectly and glued it in. removed the resonator from teh wheel well (may cut the bottom of the stock air box out and make a cold air duct that goes into the lower fender later on). then i installed a z tube and put it all back together! sounds much much better, should be even better once the coupe midpipe with the vibrant resonator is in too. for now tho its an awesome difference in sound without the obnoxious CAI ricer sound (sorry, personal preference, although i love th esound of the stillen intake and i may take the JWT pop cahrger i got off a buddy for his 350Z and mod it to work within the stock airbox, might require a diff. filter tho, we'll see.) at any rate, im happy with it for now, id like a lil more of the stillens grunt at WOT but it purrs for now, migth sound better with the exhaust.
