Car Keyed. world...colapsing

Well, I've never had this experience before. *Some punk kid keyed my car at my work on Friday. *Here's the pics:

So basically I cannot afford right now to get it repainted, and since my deductible is $1000, insurance is no help. *I've done some touchup paint and let it dry overnight, I'll be wetsanding it later this afternoon and buffing/polishing/waxing to see if i can get it to look somewhat decent. *Anyone have any tips on other methods that might be more favorable?

you must know what sort of success I can hope for with my touchup/wetsand/buff/polish/wax method then! Anything else you can recommend I do myself? I have a fairly extensive amount of professional tools at my disposal (friend is also a bodyshop repair man... he's helping me along, but if you have more advice, everything and anything is MUCH appreciated.)

i feel for you bud, that's a tough deal. like i've said before there will come a day when i will catch the punk in the act and he will pay for all the times i've been vandalized...

...in the meantime i recommend posting in the tech section under detailing. there are a few pros on there that may have some advice/techniques for you. if the scratches are down to the metal you may be hooped though.

One thing I did when my wifes car got keyed was to look in the phonebook. I was able to find coupons in there that led me to only pay about 300 bucks at a local shop.

sorry to hear that. i feel your pain!!!

happened to me 3x's in a 6 month period about 2 years ago. my girlfriends roomate (a female) did it. the last time she keyed it, it clicked to me. the day her roomate came in and then i shortly left, my car was keyed again. i was so pissed i kicked the **** out of her door and fender that my heal was bruised. to bad the alarm went off, so i had to leave the scene.
