I believe it was a glossy tremclad :P

as for durability; I know that I can expect chips, hell the shape my grille was in before I sanded it down is a testament to that! Even if you powder coated it, it would chip... grilles take alot of punishment. at least my $9 solution is easy, and fast to do. I have more than enough materials to repaint it 5 more times.

 

i was actually talking to my friend about painting his stock grill a few days back.
he is either going to black the whole thing out, black out everything besides the logo or just paint the logo. he is going to figure it out soon enough

 

The "Aero" (aka Nismo) kit comes painted...

The standard oem body moldings are not painted.

In Canada we don't get the NISMO kit. my car definately has the aero pkg (undercariage is covered etc)

either way I am jealous of all you guys in the states... the bumper isn't even the nice one... I'd LOVE to get the aero bumper..

hehe I wish it was that simple. I'm getting married next year, so putting money into the car would be... looked down on :P

I'll be happy once I paint whatever it is that I have, along with the mirrors and headlights. anyone able to link me a DIY thread on painting the headlights?
