Painted My Stock Grille

Hey guys, I wanted you opinions on my freshly painted grille. took about an hour to prep/paint and an overnight to dry. total cost: $9

I personally LOVE it, the spaces inbetween were left chrome and it gives it a nice effect. the black makes it look alot meaner!

i like it, but from the pictures it doesnt look like the black is a clean line (has some high and low spots) against the chrome. It'd definitely a nice concept though, i'd love to see it professionally painted like that.

yea I've got to touch up a few spots, but actually they're pretty straight since we taped it off.

you sure could man! literally took abou 15 mins to tape off, the emblem actually snaps right out, then i hit it with the paint lightly at first, then pouring it on more liberally after the base was there (dont forget to scuff the chrome, and some adherer primer definately helps!) let it dry for about 3 hours and take the tape off.

yes, that is definately on the list... my only fear is when I open them up to paint, that I'm able to seal them so moisture doesn't get in!

things to do this summer:

- paint the aero kit 2 match
- paint mirrors 2 match
- Paint wheel spokes 2 match (black)
- black out headlights
- tint the turn signals
- lower the car, probably on some H techs (we have winter here... WITH snow!)
- debadge the rear (except keep infiniti logo)

then my car will be GTG in my eyes... I don;t have the money for it to be gtg in my heart

You "painted" your grille.........?

Looks good now, but it won't stay that way! Powdercoating is the only way
to color a grille and have the color not come off. To keep if perfect you'll
be repainting at least every six months.

Looks good!

If you don't mind me asking, What kind of paint did you use?
