SEDAN MODS
SEDAN MODS
Allright guys/girls, here's what i'm looking for sedans with mods done, past the basic stage (intake&exhuast). Right now I've got a INJEN intake and JIC "Y" pipe back exhuast and I want ideas for upcoming mods. I was leaning towards pulleys or high flow cats. If you have pictures that would be great. Thank you.

CLEVER23,
AT or 6-speed? IMO there is a difference in which mods work best. I haven't seen the JIC exhaust system. It's a catback system or do you still have the stock y-pipe? Any pictures?

Re: SEDAN MODS
Jic doesn't offer a sedan specific exhaust system at this time that I am aware of and two other things give me great pause. I considered purchasing their Y-pipe and convering one of their exhaust systems for duty on my sedan. The two things that killed that idea were, 80mm piping, to large for NA and to maintain torque and the fact that their muffler design would have more noise than I was willing to go for. Ok, yes I used Injen SES muffers on my system, but I do run them with the silencer's installed and I have a X-pipe to, which helps to quite things down (boost's torque too). Also Jic's Y-pipe, while one of the best Y-pipe's you can buy, has a 80mm collector, will NOT work if bolted to any other system that uses conventional 65mm pipe diameter, you'll have a nice 25mm road block at the flange connector point, though one could install a smooth reducer to do a proper 80mm to 65mm transition.
Get the Stillen true dual system for the sedan, RT cat's and either the Crawford headers, Nismo headers, or the Stillen headers (still waiting for closeup pics of their collector shape and port inlet shape). The crawford pleneum is also a excellent mod that give power where is says it does.
EDIT:
I do not by into the logic of eliminating the harmonic balancer on the stock oem pullies, love the gains I see proven, just don't by the arguement it's ok in the long haul. Keep in mind I plan on keeping my car along time and it will see high revs allot.

Re: SEDAN MODS
JIC does offer a "y" pipe back exhaust. ZIEL motorsports which is the west coast distrubutor for JIC needed a test G35 to see if the exhaust for the JDM skyline would fit. The system does bolt up correctly ,but the muffler almost touches the bottom of the bumper. As for sound I love the tone, I had the BLITZ muffler before but I wanted something with a deeper louder sound. This is it. I'll post pictures as soon as I wash my car.More than likely I'll go with the Randon Tech. cats.
