Do you have an aftermarket alarm?

There was another problem like this some other people had but I don't remember what the cause was. Might try a search.

Do you have the Bose System. My wife's 03 had the same problem. When they ran their diagnostics test they found out that there was a short within the radio and that it was causing the battery to be drained.

It was actually covered under the warranty. But from what I remember they had to replace the CD unit. I would probably disconnect the power to the radio and see if the battery drains.

How do you know your battery is draining? Maybe it's not getting charged? Have you had your alternator checked?

So the battery is not new?

That may still be the problem. It might take a charge but not be able to hold it. Did you check the water level?

You obviously have a short in the system which is drawing constant power even when the ignition is off. That's draining your battery.

The dealer should be able to find the power draw and correct it.

Exactly my point. You charge it with a charger, and the car starts and runs. But if the alternator isn't charging the battery while you're driving, by the end of the day you could have a dead battery (depending on how much you drive, ICE, etc.), and you'd have to charge it again manually. Or, like somebody else posted, there's a short that's discharging the battery, most likely a bad ground. If the battery were the problem, it wouldn't take a charge no matter how you charged it.

Can you pull the fuse that protects the radio and see if that circuit is the problem?

I had this problem twice. once was alternator and they replaced under warranty. The other time it was my daytime running lights staying on indefinately. I realize that DRLs are only in Canada, but I see you're from Alberta. It was the DRL Module that was screwed and it was hard to tell wtf was happening cuz I'd park at work during the day and not notice the lights on... either was it was fixed again under warranty.
