battery drains in 24 hours

I had a similar problem. I travel quite extensively on business, and have to leave my G at airport parking for sometimes a 2-3 day period of time. My Battery was dead every time upon return. I have the Bose system, and discovered that if I turn the car off when the unit is in CD Mode, the battery would be dead upon return. I just started switching the unit to FM radio mode or power it off. I never did determine what the root cause was. I've had no problems since then. Try powering the unit completely off. It works for me.
That is strange but good to know.
I went out of town for 3 weeks in October and didn't drive the G for another week after I got back. My Optima red top was dead but I think it was more from the long sit and I have tons of aftermarket stuff that all drains a little which adds up over time.
