IMO 35% is too light. I got 20% on my sedan and it is great, I keep sunroof (shade or cover) open when city driving to avoid getting pulled over. Not sure what's legal in michigan but 20% is perfect, anything lower is too dark on a black on black car. A lot of heat stays out as well by the way.
