Stock Engine Cover

How much heat does the stock engine cover hold in? Would it be better to remove it all together??

probably better to remove it, but then you have the hood holding in the heat too. so it will make a marginal difference in temp, if any.

did the 06 sedan come in twilight blue like it says in your sig?

i agree that is better to remove it from a heat stance. there will still be heat under the hood obviously but it will not be concentrated on top of the manifold.

This has been covered many times before and there is very little benifit to taking it off. The best option is the Z style one to give some good looks and still allow the heat to move around a bit more.

I was looking to install a Stillen strut tower brace on my sedan which said that it will not allow for any type of engine cover once installed.

I would go with Richies which will fit with the engine cover. I think it will fit with a spacer and engine cover.

This is what I did to the richie bar since I had a crawford plenum. I painted the engine cover gloss black +clearcoat to match the bar I painted and aslo cut the cover to fit around plenum. Excuse my dirty engine bay though haven't cleaned it for years. I have the bar at the lowest setting and it doesn't seem to be rubbing engine liner.
