I was with accordfreak on Friday.. it is and after market grill with the stock grill bars, I am not sure if he want me to tell all how he built it. I guess you guys would have to hit him up and ask
His car looks great in person, he was done a lot to the inside of the car that Infiniti could take notes on. He moved the nav buttons below the stereo. It makes it so much more sence right by the driver and with in easy reach.

Talk to Randy (CASkyline), he may be able to do something like this for you with the UTR (or ebay) grille and your oem one.

it is definitely not the stock grille because the bars don't have any bumps on them

pre 05 had no bumps... The bars look too narrow though to be a sedan grille... might be a coupe grille?

If anyone can do it Randy (caskyline) can... I think he's pretty busy lately though.

the only gialla grille for a sedan i found is the one on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infin...spagenameZWDVW

its dimensions are obviously different

but the sedan gialla grille looks to be

smaller in dimensions from bumper to hood ..

and the lip seems to be thicker ...

what do you guys think ..

is it possible and will it acheive the same look ..??

The look will not be the same. The grille opening on the coupe seems to be bigger than the sedan's. Also the grille on the sedan seems to be recessed more, where as the coupe's is flush with the hood and bumper.

guys - as discouraging as it is, the sedan just doesn’t have the options for aesthetic mods that the coupes have... it has always been that way. It's very difficult to do something different unless it's entirely custom. We don't have the variety of grilles, ground effects, etc... I'm all for making the sedan unique (I've done it) - but it's not likely you will be able to pull off what a coupe does (not the same way anyway).

The grille that is being reference looks great - I just don’t see it happening on a sedan. I wish a manufacturer or two would come out with more options though.

I commend you (or anyone else) for efforts trying to achieve the look... I think frameless mesh with a chopped-up coupe grille is as close as it gets... it would be interesting to see what someone comes up with...
