SSV button....teach me how to set it!

Speed sensitive volume for the radio, I push it and it says low, medium & high on the display but I have yet to get the volume to go up or down based on speed. Someone please tell me how to set this thing up! I design & build tube guitar amps(www.collinsamps.com), you know 50's technology! If it was just one big **** I'd be golden!

I think I had to set mine to HIGH for it to make much difference. It does seem to help now, but if the sunroof is open you still have to turn it up yourself.

I leave it off... I don’t like the volume going up and down.

Mine works... on high the volume incrementally increases the louder the cabin noise if... low does the same thing but to a less extent.

Whether is based on engine speed or actually sound I don’t know... like I said I don’t use it. But I have tried it and it does work.

BTW - Tube amps kick @ss all over solid state!!!!! Groove Tube baby!!!

I use mine on high. I feel it works great for my style of driving and I do use the sunroof and windows as long as it's not raining.

it's based on MPH, so the faster you are going the more road noise their is so the volume goes up slightly. I believe it reaches its max level around 40-50 MPH, it's not a huge jump but can be noticable.

The Bose version is not very linear... If you set it on high and go for a drive, you will definitely notice when the volume jumps up to the next level. It should have been setup to increase the volume very slowly instead of the big jump.

Thanks guys

I thought there might be a way to set the levels that you want for low, med, high etc, didn't realize that they were preset levels that you had to live with. Mine still does absolutely nothing in low, med or high. Thanks again
