tell the dealer that car rattles, if u actually want it fixed specify the actual rattle noise to the dealer. They are usually very good with fixing these types of issues because they have serviced many G35 for rattle issues. I had about 4 rattles a year ago and the dealer fixed them all. Right now i have 0 rattles with windows up, down, music up or down.
i got rid of one specific rattle by feeling and pressing really hard on the source..( i dunno how but it made it go away) maybe just park your car and feel around and press against stuff haha i dunno worked for one of my rattles
I had some nasty rattles coming from the front doors with music playing (and even somtimes not). Anyways, I found a service bulletin that said to apply felt cloth tape to some ribs
this is the bulletin: http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB02-021.htm
where did I get the cloth tape? well i ordered it from infiniti.. and let me tell you, I thought getting a qty of 6 was too much... BOY was I wrong. they give you a huge bag.. like 12 square inches, and a tiny piece of cloth tape in side, maybe 1"x .5"
crazy!! and they charge about $1 for each "unit"
Anyways, i found some stuff which was identical at home depot but was green
.. but inside the doors nobody can see.. so I only used the black infiniti tape where I wanted black and not green...
So I did this procedure and this was the result:

after doing this proceedure I think it helped a little but there was still rattling and ticking and i was pissed man.. ****...
Anyways, I took the panels off again, and found every similar location on the door that looked like it could use some cloth tape, and it took me at least an hour too apply it carefully everywhere ( I guess they don't want techs wasting their time applying felt cloth tape @ $120/hr... hehe..
Anyways, that yielded an improvement for sure, however, there was still noise and I narrowed it down to where the plastic of the door panel meets the metal of the door near where the door closes (near the door handle). I got some weather stripping material from home depot (which has a sticky back and is highly compressible just like the stuff used elsewhere in the car). I applied it to that side of the door very carefully and the result is that the noise is gone. Now I can blast my bose w/out any probs
