Re: C&D shoot-out

No...the March '04 issue...a seven car shoot out...all manual shifts. The G35 1st, 325i second, TL third......

Re: C&D shoot-out

yeah, but the G only beat out the TL on the "Gotta have it" and "Fun to drive" factors. The TL beats the G in a lot of core tests, it's not something to trifle with. It's definitely not the TSX.

Re: C&D shoot-out

RogRacer,

My bad, my March '04 issue just arrived in the mail, and I see the article you're talking about.

Just proves what we already know. Awesome!

Re: C&D shoot-out

They only got a 0-60 in 6.3 and the quarter at 14.6@ 99. The TL was quicker in 0-60. But the G was quicker in 0-100 and 0-120 (by 1.5 seconds). In handling, the G destroyed the TL. They actually used the word "spooky" refering to the TL's handling....but, hey, I could have told you that.....

Re: C&D shoot-out

The TL had a 0-60 in 5.8 sec. The motor is sweet, no doubt. The chassis, though, is just not up to sport sedan standards. Way too front heavy. A highway crusier. Or maybe a Japanses Seville STS. If I was getting a Acura, I would have gone with a TSX and given up some power in exhange for a much better balanced chassis.
