Hey guys,

I was wondering who would be interested in a possible group buy for a carbon fiber trunk lid? If I get enough people that would be interested, we could get this done. Since there is one out already for the coupes. Why not get some made for us sedan owners? So i think its time to get some more parts out for the sedan. The years are 2003-2006.
So hopefully there is some interest in the Carbon Fiber Lid Cover...


This is just a feeler to see if anyone wants one. Once 5 or more names gets on the list. Then i will become a Prem Member and get the ball rolling on these.

How about a cf hood for the 05-06. Maybe something for the roof also some kinda cover or something with the sunroof cut out. (not sure how resonable the roof request is but....)

 

I can imagine that must rattle alot...

 

I just do not understand the point of this? Someone please tell me I know a lot of people love carbon fiber, but it is in the trunk...? Im sure the excisting peice is lighter anyways...

Not worth the effort. I know most sedan owners don't mod their car heavily and there is no point in a CF trunk lid liner if we have nothing else to show off (which most don't). I think it's best to put effort into something like a nismo style rear diffuser for the 05-06 sedan. It would be a nice subtle mod. It be cheaper than the trunk liner and I know I got my wallet already open for one.

yeah i'd have to agree. i hate to **** on a thread, but there are probably more desireable things than a liner in CF. kudos for trying to generate interest tho...

Well I understand how you guys feel about the liner on the inside. Well I know most of us like to show our cars and this is just one more thing to add to the list. I have a system in my car, and I was going to get a TV and 2 6.5" speakers molded in. But if I get the CF liner I wont do that. I would prefer the CF liner than a TV in my trunk.
As for a carbon fiber diffuser for the sedan .Im sure I can talk to the guy and he will make it if there is enough interest. He has already said that he will make nemours of carbon fiber parts if there is an interest for them. So once again that’s why I posted this thread. To gain some type of interest
So if there were more Carbon fiber parts that us sedan owner would like to see. Name some items and lets generate enough interest and get them produced

1.Carbon Fiber Trunk
2.Carbon Fiber Roof Overlay
3.Carbon Fiber Hood

Just to name a few.

 

i would consider springing for a CF hood and a CF trunk, depending on pricing.
