Synthetic GL-5 in tranny

I had my '04 6mt sedan serviced (54k kms) recently and had the manual tranny fluid changed out for Pennzoil Synthetic. After consulting a local Infiniti dealer, my garage used 75W-90 GL-5. GL-5 was specified by the dealer.

The manual calls for GL-4, so does searches in Driver and elsewhere online. With this info I phoned the local dealer and was told the same as my garage, they use GL-5.

Should I be concerned with the fluid installed? Do I need to drain the GL-5 and put in some GL-4?

Any constructive advice is appreciated, thanks.

thanks.
since the fluid change the shifting has been noticeably more notchy, not nearly as smooth.
i have read that the GL-5 has higher shear resistance and is "slicker" than GL-4. this counteracts the synchros (which need some friction to work properly) and causes more grinding.
i am leaning towards draining the brand new (and expensive) fluid out and finding some GL-4. even though GL-5 may be good fluid, the long-term effects of rougher shifting concern me.

Read this thead,

I'm running a blend of gl4 redline oils, though I won't sit here and tell you that just a fluid change made a so so tranny suddenly shift better. Polishing the shifter ball, cup and bearing sufaces, that did make a differance, but inside the box it's business as usual.

I just got a quote from the dealership for $189.00 to flush my trans - jump in cost is due to the need for J-Matic fluid @ $10/qt. Anyone else had similar pricing on the newer G's?
