Green blinking light saying key

When I start my car a green light flashes the word key for around 30 secs then goes away. Not sure why. I have a 2005 auto sedan with keyless ignition.

I had the same problem recently on my 2005 sedan. I took it to the dealer for something else and mentioned this problem too. They said it was a weak battery in the key fob so they replaced it.

Yep, what he said. It's the car telling you your key fob battery is getting low.

Had the same problem about 1 month ago. New battery in the key fob fixed it.

Hmmm, doesn't look easy to take the fob apart. Is replacing the battery something better left to the dealer?

Yeah, I second that. Is it something we can do on our own without issues? Or is it better just to go straight to the dealer on this one? If we can do it on our own...any DIY's?

it explains it in the manual how to replace the battery, its a very simple DIY. Just need a small flathead screwdriver to pry it open.

I have the same thing happening. What kind of battery does it take? I'll have to flip through the manual this evening. Glad I saw this post.

I believe it is a 2025 battery.
