Car veers to the right

I had this problem with my stock wheels but there was a small leak in the front right stock wheel tire. I fixed that leak and the problem was still there.

then I got my VS-XX and pressure is at 36psi for all 4 tires. I had them filled up to confirm the pressure amount and then drove the car this weekend and the car still veers to the right slightly and I have to keep my hand on the wheel.

I had a proper alignment done, camber/toe corrected and wheels balanced as well.

Since I had this issue with my old tires what could the problem be?

are you testing this on a perfect flat road? roads are often sloped toward the curb for drainage and that can cause you to pull toward the right.

1, and high performance tires tend to follow the smallest imperfection on the road by pulling right or left.

This unfortunately is the only down side of this car. I don't know if you have the same problem, but it does sound like it. I have a coupe and it's never run straight, indifferent of tires. I've taken it to the dealer, soon will be the third time, and they always come up with some lame excuse. The bottom line is it's a krappy design of the compression rods and an inferior bushing material that's too soft. I doubt there will be a resolution until Nismo or someone else comes out with a polyurethane version of the bushing... Do a search here and you'll get tons more info..

Constant issue.........!

What he's refering to is a constant problem with the car wandering right. His
problem is alignment! Take your G to a quality alignment shop, get the four
wheel alignment and your problems will be over........I promise! If you look
closely at the front tires on of them will have uneven wear on the inside.
You should be able to keep you car between the telephone polls with just
one finger on any kind of road.

Cool scans. Where did you go to get those done? never had an alignment shop ever offer such a thing to me.

Thanks

now I'm curious. My 03 G35 has done this from day one. I bought it used and it pulls so slightly to the right I never thought to worry that much about it thinking it was alingment. My girlfriends 04.5 G35x pulled to the right just like mine did, and she took it back to the dealer who replaced front end parts and couldn't get it right so the car has been at Infiniti for 3 weeks now and they say they don't know what the deal is !

what is the deal with this ??

Same here. I have had my 05 6MT G Sedan for 3 weeks now. It pulled to the right when I got it. Just had new tires put on at Tire Kingdom and got an alignment as well. I figured good to start new tires that way. It still pulls to the right after alignment by the same amount. I also have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT 6MT which also pulls to the right by about the same. The tib is known to always pull to the right when aligned to spec. Some people would adjust the alignment out of spec to compensate, but then you risk wearing the tires uneven. So I live with it on my Tib the same as I will live with it on my G I guess.

i would suggest checking the steering wheel alignment... there is a centering line on the steering column shaft that should align with the same centering line on the steering wheel frame just under the airbag cage

i found that even after getting a professional alignment, my steering was off to the right as some have described... checked the steering wheel centering, moved it over one notch, and all was good

Dahkyne, how do you adjust the steering wheel linkage?
