The signal mirror is described as a "DOOR MIRROR COVER WITH INDICATOR". "DOOR MIRROR COVER..." sounds like the mirror(s) is afixed to the existing mirror. Is this correct or are they replacements?
Also, anyone know if these mirrors are compatible with the heated mirrors currently on my car? I certainly don't want to lose this feature.

They are mirror covers, not mirror replacements. You just put them on top of your existing mirror, therefore, all the power/heating functions of the stock mirrors won't be affected.

As I now understand it, the mirror covers are just the plastic exterior shell. The installation requires you to disassemble your existing mirrors and place the innards removed from the existing mirrors inside the new mirrors. Do I have this right?

I e-mailed and asked them if it would work with a US car and here is the reply.
083-008-020 NISSAN Door Mirror Cover With Indicator does not fit to
American/Canadian car.
Because shape is different.

Hmmm! I have no idea why they would say unsuitable for North American cars. I had no problem installing them and the fit is perfect. The only difference was that the instructions were for a right hand drive vehicle and ours are left hand??? Oh, and I just couldn't find the power wire that was instructed to connect to but I just used a different constant power off of another wire, maybe thats why???[img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]
