does anyone ever hear a big sound from the engine compartment when you first crank the engine ? It happens to me once a while, not everytime when i crank the engine. It's hard to describe the sound, but you can hear and feel it....

 

I wonder if this could be your a/c clutch, do you turn off the the a/c when you shut off the car, I have heard something like that on mine once in a while.

i usually turn off a/c before shutting off the car. Really have no idea what that noise... probably nothing to worry about....

 

I have to get used to turning it off, since I've never had a car that required turning it off unless it was cooling, always turned it off then!

Mine does this when it's cold once awhile???? Had dealer looks at it told it looks OK, to them....

 

It could be normal, this car functions so much differently in the heat/ac function than any car I've ever had, much better IMHO!
