going to the paint shop!

THE BODY SHOP I AM GOING WITH IS CALLED EXTREME PAINT AND BODY
706-507-2890/ extremepaint@knology.net / located in Columbus GA
Ask for Allen and tell him that Tim Letran with the G35 sent ya!

Ok my car is going to the paint shop tomorrow! Looking for one was hell! I received some intresting answers from the other paint shops. For example, "we can't paint the lowers cause the factory put a black dye in the plastic" and followed that with, "an adhesive promoter primer will cost you alot." So naturally I asked how much will it cost me to get the dings fixed, the roof and the grill painted black, and the lowers color matched? His response," oh about 4 grand." FOUR GRAND? Well I calmly said thankyou and left, promptly.................................

Also if anyone that is reading this that lives in Columbus GA area I did find a shop that does put on clear bra for the front, and another one for powder coating at $75 a rim,

So the shop told me that my car should be done after one week. Well any input any of this would be helpful.

my G should look like similar to this

but with the stock grill painted black with nissan badging up front and back and the skyline 350GT. Color matched mirror base, black roof, Nismo Aero bumper, color matched door handles and the lower panels all around.

Thanks again Xvert for the photoshop!

EDIT: following are the most current pics

Get the mirror bases painted while you are at it. A very nice touch if you ask me. If they charge you alot to remove them, do it yourself. It's very easy.

He means the black traingular base to the side mirrors. I agree, it would look good.

ok I fully understand that the base of the mirror is the topic. Before I consider painting it can anyone show us a pic of what it looks like once color matched? Or should I just get it painted black.

^To be honest I wouldn't do it. It loks nice for a few but then because of the material the base is made out of it begans to crack, chip and or peel.

I think if it's done right (base coat) it won't chip, peel...etc. Our bumpers are also plastic.

Paint matched mirror bases
