Alignment kit for the cars that pull / drift

anyone else get one of these ?

I have looked around on here and found that it seems to be a common issue that even within factory specs several G35's still pull or drift to one side even with 100% stock suspension. About a month ago my girlfriend and I both bought used G35's and both cars drifted to the right (both stock suspension). She returned her car to the dealer and they said it was w/in factory specs but still drifted to the right. They replaced something and it didn't help so they sent the car to an Infiniti dealer to resolve the issue. We picked the car up yesterday and it's fixed. The ticket says they installed an alingment kit. The total cost to the dealer was like $830 for the kit, labor, and realingment (no cost to us). So we got her car and left mine for the same reason. I'm praying they do the right thing and put an alingment kit in mine too. Anyway just wanted to share with you guys. Not a cheap fix I guess, but it worked on her car. I think I've seen an Eibach alingmet kit for our cars somewhere like on everythingg35.com or somewhere also.

I thought all cars were supposed to drift a little to the right? Or was your drift really strong?

Yeah that's what I was going to say. Virtually all roads slope to the sides for drainage so really all cars should have a slight pull based on that. Does it pull to the left when you're in the fastlane? How bad is it? From my experience a big floaty suspension Caddy stays pretty straight, when I lowered it and replaced the shocks to a firmer setup it pulled a bit more. So I may be wrong hear but I assume a more sensitive (sportier) suspension like the G would tend to pull more than a softer, less sensitive setup like a Caddy.

Well that is weird, even back when i first got the car, i never had any pulling issues even at 80mph. a year ago with minor suspension upgrades i let my hands go off the steering wheel for about 5 seconds at 150mph and the car was flying right between the lanes without any issues.

damn 150 and no hands lol well that's how it should be. Dealerships will always give ya the road is sloped, curved or whatever but the car should go straight. They just don't want to or know how to fix it. Hers drifted to the right more slowly than mine but it was still noticeable. My car does it worse than hers did. I was told my car is getting an alingment kit also in the next day or so. Finally it will feel like a new car ! If you guys cars pull one way or another and the alingment has been checked and is in spec like several other on here who have all gotten the typical excuses for it I'm just saying so far the alingment kit worked on her car. I'll post my results when I get my car back with an alingment kit on.

see this thread for more alingment info

I guess I just don't understand what this alignment kit is. You're saying your alignment is good, but your car pulls, so you get an alignment kit to fix it, but what is being fixed? If your alignment is already correct why the need for a kit? How bad did it pull?

Ill find it real quick.

It didn't pull like it had a bent tie rod , or control arm or anything but if I took my hand off the steering wheel it immediately starts going to the right. Have to drive holding the wheel to the left. And yes her car not sure about mine yet was w/in factory alingment specs and still pulled. See that thread I added above. It's a common problem. Hopefully this is the fix.

I think it replaces some bushings or end links.

Interesting, I guess mine just isn't noticable to me. I generally have a hand on the wheel at all times, but I can drive with a finger tip without too much effort. If you get a chance, ask if they are replacement polyurethane bushings. I remember reading somewhere that these were impossible to find for the G.
