My wife had to hit her brakes very hard yesterday afternoon. It was a dry, sunny day.

She said the brakes locked, the tires squealed, and she saw rubber tracks on the road behind her.

This shouldn't happen with our ABS, should it?

 

No it should not. There will be some as the ABS will lock and unlock the brakes over and over in a skid. See if she felt a shake-shake-shake or did the car just skid.

 

this has hapened to me on a road that was rained on about 20 minutes prior. the car just slid straight and luckily i didnt hit my boys srt-4 that i was behind of. but ABS can only do so much. try full brakes at 80 mph, guarenteed youll skid once or twice,lol.

 

My wife said she did not feel any shaking or pulsing in the brake pedal. It just skidded.
