escort passport 8500 laser goes off when using the windshield washer fluid

very weird, everytime i spray the windshield my laser warning goes off

its the original 8500 not the x50

anybody else having this weird issue?

i have the x50 and dont have that problem.

probably just electrical interference from the pump motor, try relocate your laser detector...

have the same radar but dont have your issue. Mine is mounted up top to the left of the mirror.

same issue here. had non-x50, then the x50, same problem. i don't want to relocate it though - too used to where it is. i just turned off the laser band on it.

It may be a light reflection getting back to the sensor. I have a big bathroom mirror in my garage facing my car and if I turn my lights on while backing out it will set my V1's laser detection off.
