you forgot the

j/k... we don't have a cool grille like that Street Scene was supposedly making a making a mesh grille in black chrome... never happened... I've always wondered about vertical slat grille... I think the opening is way too big, might look odd... anyway - bumper first I guess - but I really don’t want to put my OEM grille on (not that my current grille is great, but again... limited choices).

Do you have pics with the Giallia-esque with this bumper?...

I've noticed a very, very slight v in the curvature of the bottom edge of center opening... I've been going back and forth with pics here to OEM pics and it looks pretty close, but I think what made me notice it was OEM is slightly flatter... not so much a v shape... all the pics here have been with OEM grilles, which doesn't present a problem... I'm wondering if aftermarket (as limited as we have) will look right? Or will there be a bottom center gap from the more curved/v shape (as slight as it may be)?...

Might as well mention things now right?...

Viet - a grille with this bumper would put you in another stratosphere!!!!
The slight point of the oem line, lines up with the crease in the hood. The grille area has a flow to it, and it transitions to not be a slight point once it gets to the flat area of the bumper.

Here's an untouched original version.

The upper of the bumpers is all oem. What you see on your upper is exactly what you'll see in the new bumpers.

Lining the top of the center opening with the tow hook is important to me. I would like the bumpers to not lose any functionality for the end user. Muy bueno in black.

Thank you for that. I haven't tested it yet, but I am going to try and put my stillen plate adapter in the tow hook hole. It looks like it will be possible. As the military folks know, in Japan they won't even let us on the base without our front license plate attached .

L brackets also work for mounting the license plate without putting holes into the front of the bumper. Use a wood screw or some other screw with a course thread and it should be all good. Marty, caskyline, damineg, and me all have our plates mounted that way.

Thanks Viet... I did not realize the tow hook would be affected by lowering the top center line... now that you mention it I agree that it would be a mistake to have that inaccessible... I didn’t entirely follow the v/point explanation - I'm in the airport, so I will re-read tonight when I get to hotel... thanks for your feedback/explanation.

Is there any way someone with this front end can measure and tell me how wide and tall the center opening is.

Thanks!

Viet / Grant -

Is there any way at all to get this in urethane for the 03/04? If so, how many paid orders do they need first? I'm willing to throw in another $200-250 for one that's not glass.

+1... I've asked... it seemed like they didn't want to get in poly... I think most would pay the extra $$ to make it happen

They are poly

Edit: oops just saw Rookies post about the 03-04 being fiberglass, due to cost issues.

The 05-06 are fiberglass. I'm not sure how everyone would feel about a 600+ bumper, poly is hard to customize too. For those that want to fill sidemarkers or have larger openings.
