i just got my 03 leftover g35 yesterday,it has the auto,sport susp,aero pack,and lower ground effects,w/winter package,and bose.i picked it up for 31k plus tax.i have a few questions.has anyone installed an auto dimming mirror?i dont have one and am wondering if it is prewired for it.also has anyone installed sat radio?i have the button but no option.is it prewired?is the antenna prewired?one more question,has anyone tried to change the headlight switch with the auto switch?my car didnt come w/the premium package,but was too good of a deal to pass on.any suggestions would be appreciated.i will be posting pics soon.

 

Yes, you can install a homelink mirror I believe. I read something about it a while ago... as for the sat radio, look in the door jam of the driver's door and see if there's a sticker that says you're prewired. That and looking for the white plug in the trunk are the only 100% ways to tell... as for switching the auto-on and regular lights? No idea...

I have a feeling doing some of these things might negate(sp?) any saving you had not getting the Premium! Seems I heard that mirror was like a $600. part, geez!

Okay, mine does have the sticker that it is prewired for satellite radio, does that mean it would be painless to add that? What I wonder about is the antenna mount, those are on the back off the roof, right?

You can have the antenna installed on the trunk, roof, or even on the parcel shelf in the back of the car. Lots of places to put it. All you need is the receiver and antenna.

In the roof of the trunk. You remove the liner, and there will be a spot for it with the plug that it connects to just sitting there waiting for it. Routing the antenna wire will be the hard part.. and it shouldn't be hard at all.

 

Thanks, I may look into this, first I have to do a small plumbing "remodel" in my house!

Auto Dim Mirror - Yes it is prewired, it came with the premium package.

Auto Headlight - Same answer

SAT Button - Yes the radio is prewired for SAT, the harness is in the trunk.
