Thx for the award *Hangs certificate on wall next to 'Stupidest move' and 'most spelling errors' awards*
I was trying to think of a way to get the point across, and since the car is my dads 'baby', i figure the closest thing would be someones child.....and i didnt want to say anything sick, sexual, or perverted cause i dont want anyone to think that 'oh, thats what hes thinking about' or anything.....so yeah lol

It's okay I like random analogies. At least you didn't hit up a Michael Jackson one...

The only problem I see with that analogy is that the car isn't likely to be psychologically damaged by having it's door handle dinged and repaired.

It was my G35X that started this thread - actually my son, Chris started the thread.

I just read the ad for the TW-I (Crime Stoppers) and it looks very complete - almost too good to be true. Why it'll even start your car every 4 hours. How about making the coffee?

Seriously - what are the side effects of the system? There must be some. How long have you had it?
Did you have it installed or did you do it yourself?

Thanks for any info

I got it about two weeks after I got the car... so far, no adverse affects. My installer screwed up a wire, so I'm having it fixed (it disarms but doesn't unlock sometimes-- install screwup, not a system prob). I love being able to check out my car temp when I'm elsewhere, and start it if it'll be too hot/cold when I get to it I've had it go off a few times when it sensed a shock, and when I went outside to investigate (once at a restaurant, once at Blockbuster), I saw someone who'd parked a little too close and was checking my car door for dings. Luckily, there were none, but had there been any I'd know who'd be paying!

Just a thought, since this incident might of happend right in front of your house, you might consider purchasing those motion detector lights, so the lights will turn on when someone gets to close to the house or car...this will let you know someone is around your house. Its not a antitheft or anitvandalism item...but it could reduce the chances of any of your cars getting broken into or stolen. Just a thought

You could buy an Autolock if you're worried about the entire car being stolen. It's like "The Club" except it's for the brake. It won't stop a thief from taking stuff out of your car though. The other thing to do is buy a baby monitor and leave it in the car somewhere out of site. Then place the receiver right next to your bed. That way if someone messes with your G hopefully the noise will wake you up and you can go out and blast the SOB.
