what if the battery dies and....?

I have read somewhere that if your car(g35 sedan) battery dies you cant pop open your trunk? Is this true?

I would assume that the button next to the trunk and the remote-key button wouldnt work, but would the button next to the steering wheel work?

Would the only way to pop open the trunk is thru your back seat passage way? Im not even sure my arms would be long enough to reach the emergency trunk release....

Im just wondering about this because i would need to take the jump cable out of the trunk if the battery does die....

Look in your back seat passage way again.....look for a small pull clip attached to a wire cable. That too is a trunk release.

Still can't see it? Pop open the trunk and look from that end.

That is the only way if there NO power (dead battery).

are you talking about the emergency release pully thing on the trunk top?

the thing your suppose to pull if your stuck in the trunk for some reason.. lol.. I guess its for children who plays around and gets trapped in the trunk.

That is an electric switch as well. If you have a tiny bit of energy left in your battery, then you will still be able to open your trunk, but no energy = use the pull cable in the back.

g35 sedan
For the 2005 sedan you flip down the center armrest then another little panel gives access to the trunk. Reach in and pull the anti-kidnapping manual trunk release handle.

I wonder what treasures they might find, after 13 years. Perhaps a USB stick with a bitcoin wallet?
