my 2$ eyelids, 30 mins and some patience
First off do not get me worng, i love the bluebatmobil/net stuff but im a hands on guy with a long history of working on cars. this Took 30 mins the other day and made these. had some high quality 8 yr life span gloss black outdoor Vinyl left over from doing the door handles (chose not to paint them since if i ever go to sell the car is can just peel it off if the buyer wants the chrome handles and stainless window trim). anyway, i just doubled up the layers using a spray bottle and squeegee to get it perfect. then i took a piece of paper and put it on the headlight and traced out the shape i liked since the ones you can get online actually block the beam i traced these ones to "cut" in about 1" or so. after the outline was made i cut it out with a razor and trasferred it to the doubled up vinyl. then i traced a mirror image for the otehr side and cut them out with a razor, easy enough. after that i installed them with some patience and a squeegee. im happy with the final product, changes the front end DRASTICALLY, no light comes through the eyelid area and the beams coverage was MINIMALLY reduced if at all. next is probably take the head lights apart, remove the vinyl and paint them flat black inside, then either do mew vinyl or get the eyelid "painted" on when i get the grille painted gloss black.
