Stillen Gen 2 or Borla Exhaust?

Which exhaust system would be best for a 2006 5AT Sedan?

If you search you would find many reviews and thoughts on this.

The Borla is not as loud and will give you ~5-8hp.
Ths Stillen is more race sounding (still clean) but a bit louder and will give you ~9-12hp.

From there the choice is yours...

Are you refering to Stillen gen1 or gen2?

has anyone actually heard both in person?

I have the stillen gen 2 on my X and I love it. Not too loud IMO. But I havent heard the borla. I am sure it shoulds good too. I didn't have the option of borla because of the AWD bits

I love my Stillen gen 2, but not with test pipes and headers, way too loud. Borla is really quiet, I wouldn't use it unless combined with test pipes. So if you're doing exhaust only, go with the Stillen.

i'd go Borla.. im not so sure about the sedan exhaust havent heard it to be honest, but i've heard both stillen exhausts.. gen 1 is too raspy and gen2 is alright but still a little on the loud droney side for being a sedan exhaust... plus Borla offers a million mile warranty ^^

Stillen gen II drones alot. I have it & I like it. I chose it because I didn't want the clamp system Borla uses. It may be a silly reason but I heard rumors about exhaust leaks, don't know if they were true but that was my deciding factor. I'm not exactly a Stillen proponent, I hate Stillen as a company because of their bad customer service, but I bought their system cuz I needed a system fast to eleviate restrictions.

I run an used Borla so if it were to leak, I'm probably the one to experience it. But I've been running it for a few months and have zero leaks. It's a slip fit and the fits are tight. I had to WD the pipes to get them to slide on. If it's installed even by someone with 1/4 of a brain, it won't leak.
