Your 20's are what's killing you on the track, not the engine or tranny.

I figured that's what was killing me at the track. I actually invested in a set of lightweight 18's with low pro tires. That should help a little...

nah, you could potentially save up to 10 pounds PER wheel

I weighed them when I bought them...

Chrome 20's with 245/35/20 Kumho's - 65lbs each

Alloy 18's with 225/40/18 Negotiator's (the name is cool huh?) - 40lbs each!

25lbs at each corner is pretty significant...

Yes the heavy wheels and stereo weight is what was killing you.

I only ran a 13.0 @ 117 up at speedworld with my 20's and stereo in.

13.0 @117, dang your 60' must have been high. Even with a 2.2 60ft on street tires that trap speed is good for mid 12's. Slap on DR's and you would see 11's with that trap speed. I'm also willing to be your mph goes up around 120 at the same boost level on some light weight wheels. I'm guessing you ran like that out of curiosity as to what your car would run in street trim?

dualGz- You need a tune. I picked up about 14whp with a tune.

My 60' time was good ~1.9 but I didn't get full traction until the middle of 3rd. It skipped through most of the 1/8th mile.

I was being lazy and wanted to go see what it could run. Given the cars I have beat on the streets I should be good for high 11's or low 12's at the worst.

on top of the tune i would also suggest picking up a ypipe. im guessing your cherry bomb is in the stock b pipe. with the exhaust mods that you currently have i would at least pickup a ypipe that would be a close match to the cats you are currently running to the oem b pipe. there are a few that say the oem y pipe is not that restrictive but seeing the pictures of one pulled down is enough proof for me.

why do you care out weight savings when you have all of that dead weight in your car. Get rid of the gay stereo **** and then go FI

For a driveshaft try these guys, http://www.driveshaftshop.com/driveshaft.ivnu

I believe they will make it custom for you out of aluminum.

Well, looks like a UTEC it is! Lol. I actually have an aftermarket Ypipe... I didn't think that was much of an upgrade though. Lol. I will say this, getting rid of the stock sedan resonator was a HUGE upgrade just in weight... That thing must have weighed 40 or 50lbs! Took the bike to work, and that took care of my speed fix.

The stereo is out... Fosgate Punch T2 12 D2's are FREAKIN heavy! Got rid of the entire stereo, and dropped about 250lbs. I'll drop the spare for the track on Friday too. Ttrank, Firebird for Friday Night Drags?

I've looked into it... $1100 for CF, takes 2 weeks (but they can’t store car) and your OEM shaft is destroyed... I'm nearing the end of squeezing power in NA form well... I may do the CF single piece driveshaft in the future, but I don’t think its cost/benefit is logical.

Try 3.692 FD gears (OEM Nissan Ring & Pinion, you can get them from any performance oriented Nissan Dealer parts dept).

And as others have indicated a tune is in order.

If you ever plan to go FI the UTEC is a better choice anyway.

Can't go to the drags right now. I hit a raccoon on my way up to Prescott last month and I have a big part of my front end missing. Need to get that fixed first. Plus things will be better when it cools down a little more. Maybe next month.
