Sounds like you damaged your cats as well which is probably a big chunk of the $1200. You might want to get under there an take a look for yourself.

IMO i'd go with the coupe middy and HKS rear...dont forget Tanabe has a y-pipe back exhaust system and you can also get their y-pipe to go along with that if you choose...i've heard plenty of the Tanabe's and they sound very nice.

get the HKS and coupe mid pipe, I just put them in on mine, and love the sound, not too loud, not too soft. People do notice it. Here is the HKS installed. Eddie from THmotorsports has the HKS for $350 shipped

Maybe on the Y pipe, mine is in good shape so most likely not. Love the S techs, not that rough, love the way it sits

+1 on looking at Tanabe. If you are concerned about money the Tanabe (comes with mid pipe) is not much more than the HKS. The only draw back is the single tip. There are clips on the Tanabe site.

I had experienced both Greddy Evo2 and HKS exhaust. The HKS is currently on my car. The HKS look better on the car than the Greddy, but I love the way how the Greddy exhaust sound more than the HKS imo. The Greddy sound way better (like an exotic imo) than the HKS after 3500 rpm, it change to a higher pitch, whereas the HKS has a deep sound with all the rpm. However, I felt some power lost with the greddy in the mid range, and the HKS dosen't really affect the performance as it is just a muffler.

if you don't really care the rear end look of your car, choose the greddy evo2, its a very good exhaust. If i still got the greddy I would put it on my car over the HKS.
