I have a 04 g35x and i notice when i am stopped but in drive i can hear it out the window. its a little whistle, not really but like a noise when it is in drive. i put it in park and its back to normal. i put it back in drive with foot on brake pedal and i hear a noise coming from drive train probably.

i have that same problem now.. have you ever figured it out? to me it sounds like its from the bottom center of the car.. maybe something loose but i dont know..

 

please provide more in depth information.. sounds like it could be a ton of things

 

mine has a sort of almost rattle when at low RPM, once it gets up alil it goes away?

 

ok well every time im in the drive through i head a little whistle just sitting in Drive... but when i hit the gas a little to move up in line it gets way louder... and i only tap the gas... once it goes into higher rpms it goes away.. just in really really low rpms... I can also hear it when i let someone drive my car its very noticable.. i put my head down and it sounds like its from the center of the car... If i go from D to Neutral it goes away it seems like the tranny moves and it goes away .. almost like something is hitting or rubbing but the dealer said its just my AC compressor or something like that.. i cant believe that it can be so loud like all of my friends dont think its normal either.. i dont know if this helps

 

yeah you could call it like a rattle/whistle type thing

 

Idk that sounds wierd to me.. Ill listen today when i take my car out but i know my car has a whistle at low rpms when i tap my gas cause of my intake.. but its a nice sounding whistle haha.. but the car is defintially quiet when its just idling.. no whistling..
