With three mates of mine, all car lovers and amateur die hard world authorities on nothing (even me). Me in my S2K (had too get it out for a Sunday drive, it's been too long), another mate who recentley got rid of his 540i and got an 04 G6mt coupe, another in his Audi 2.7T and lo and behold the last one in his spanking brand new 04 TL.
We sit down, order and the car discussion begins, first off my mate with the TL starts talking about the C&D comparo in March issue and how the TL should have walked away with the honours, all the while telling me that my 04 G Sedan, though nice, is no match for his TL...the discussion goes on, we're all chucking our opinions in and the banter get's a little heated at one point because my mate with the Audi seems too think his car is the "real sports" sedan of the pack.
Cut too the chase, we pay the bill, I'm heading too get my car washed and the other three are off for a little joyride somewhere, when this young bloke starts talking too my mate with the TL . He's admiring the cars and just chatting away and then shows us his car, it was an older Civic with a couple of body mods, don't know about the engine, and he's just being polite and genuinely interested when my mate with the TL starts taking the **** out of the Civic ( a little unfair IMO) saying that the car was "riced out" Blah, blah, blah..
I leave them talking and head for the car wash. About an hour or so later one of my mate's calls me up and is peeing himself laughing about what happened after breakfast. Turns out the kid challenged my TL friend too a race, not one race, but several and beat him every time...Now I don't know about you, but I think if I was a TL owner who thought their car was the business, remember there's always somebody with a faster car, who can drive better and loves nothing more than shoving that little Modded civic right up your TL bum.

Hahah! Very nice. I see at guy around my place with a TL, and I asked him one day if he wanted to put the comparo to the test... he said "No way dude, my car's just for the toys... your car's for the sport. You'd whoop me." Hmm...

Very funny! Just about everyday at work I park nose to nose with a new TL. I haven't seen the driver yet. Hmmm... wonder what I'll say.

I love the instincutal rivalry G35 drivers have with TL drivers. When i was driving my brand new G home this weekend, i saw a brand new TL pull on the freeway (dealer plates), and i instantly tried to pull over next to him, but he kept changing lanes away from me. He knew his buisness.
