staggered set up
staggered set up
This may be an old question. . .wanted to ask, stealership practically had a heart attack when i mentioned getting a staggered set up on my sedan, saying it would mess with the ABS, since it was designed for all four wheels to be the same size, and highly not reccommend it. As always, the stealership overexaggerates and makes any problem seem worse at times. . .so from your experiences with staggered rims on a sedan, any particular issue you've noticed? besides alignment issues. i'm not worried since so many people do it with no noticeable problems.
You didn't mention what kind of stagger. Are you talking only tread width and maintaining sidewall height or changing sidewall height? The Coupe VDC is different than that of the sedan, so what works on one wont work on the other.
IMO, keep the sidewall height the same from front to back. Wider tires in back would be OK, however, if the rear wheels are wide enough to handle the extra cross section width.

yes, coupes are staggered, meaning their abs is programmed for a staggered set up.
Lowrider, i see your point, makes sense that width shouldn't be an issue, but sidewall or overall diameter of the wheel would

man, there's only one dealership here in utah, and they all know me now since i've been their number one fan. . .err, i mean number one complainer on ever single TSB issue, transmission issues, and whatever else i imagine warranty covers, and always bother their techs. . .anyways, i'm assuming (slider and VQ hotness) that ur dealership never has mentioned anything either about staggered and ABS on a sedan either. . .figures, i had to pick a state with only one INfiniti dealership and they're a bunch of pansies.
The wheels were one of my first mods. The dealer has had many chances to look at the car since then. They like what's become of their G and have made no comments about problems with the wheels or any other mod. In fact, I get quite a crowd of techs and sales people every time I go there. Nothing but thumbs up.

+1 with no problems, running 8.4F & 9.5R
unless a saleperson is on this board, they don't know crap about the cars. They are SALESpeople, not enthusiasts.
Your salesperson will probably be selling Kias, Acuras or Chevys in 8 months.
