Wanted to know if anyone has done this? Put a 05 or 06 rear sedan bumper on a 03 or 04 sedan. I got hit in the back and the bumper needs to be replaced. Just curious?

I just thought of one thing about the '05-'06 rear bumper fitment on an '03-'04 G sedan. I know that as far as the license plate lights go, there are 2 lights on the '05-'06 versus 1 light on the '03-'04. If the newer bumper gets fitted on the '03-'04, will there be a problem as far as making the 2 lights work on the bumper?

Yeah it will fit. The trunk button will require a little work to set up.

Lower panels of the bumper would be painted on the 05-06 as opposed to the grey plastic on the 03-04s...also I'm assuming you'd be able to fit the 05-06 splash guards as well which are a lot nicer than the 03-04 ones

Well I plan to paint the sides and get a nismo front in the future so that way I don't have to get the back lip I also like the rear of the 05-06 better. I was wondering about the trunk pop on the back how difficult is that to do?

resurrection old topic.

I just did it on my 03, which I had the nismo kit when I bought the car.

Too be honest, it flows much better with the 05 bumper. However, I had to get protectors (little piece under rear quarter panel) and you will need license bracket (holds the light) and frame (hold the license plate), if you just buy the cover.
