If somebody rags on the G35 sedan they are just jealous.

 

I choose my 04 sedan because I fell in love with it the moment I saw it in car magazine in 02. I would have certainly gone for the coupe if I'd preffered the styling, but too me the sedan is IMO one of the most beautiful cars currently available below 40k. Actually it's one of the most beautiful cars in much higher price brackets too.
I never second guess my decisions, no point, and after driving my car for the last few months I know this sedan is the car for me, that is till something nicer comes out..LOL

I drive 04 coupe and I am man enough to state besides the original topic that I feel sedan is definately underrated. I drove my brother 04 sedan and I dont feel any difference.

Just checked the specs on nissan.co.jp and found as I thought the sedan power here in U.S is underrated.

Here are the specs in Japan and it should've been the same here.

There is nothing wrong with the sedan styling! I actually prefer the tail lights over the coupe's, and when the sedan is dropped with aftermarket wheels and tires, it is down right beautiful!

Back in the spring of last year, I saw my first G35 Sedan, and liked it immediately, my tought was "damn, this is a good looking automobile" didn't know what it was at the time, didn't see the Infiniti Logo that time, so I kept my eye open for another one, don't know why I missed the Motor Trend Car of the Year issue! Glad I bought one!

Gmaster, so are you saying the horsepower is the same as the Skyline, or should be the same? And, I totally agree with you on this being the best looking sedan under 40k!

I stongly believe it is the same as Skyline in Japan.
Infinity marketing just put 260 to boost more coupe sale or those 260 might be due to 87 octane. My brother by the way noticed a better performance due to 93 [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img], however only DYNO will show the difference.

 

That would be cool! I do think this car has a slightly better kick than my '00 Mustang GT did! LOL, I like that the Skyline price in Japan is 3,250,000. LOL, I know it's yen, but still looks like a lot!!

The sedan is sorta "butt ugly" sometimes... some angles from the rear just really don't do the car justice... sometimes the leds look good sometimes they just kinda ugly *shrugs* I couldn't decide neways back when I was buying so I decided to go for the coupe since I'm still young =D Only problem I have now is that it reminds me of an accord coupe from far away at times... dunno why....

One thing though, if you've never seen either the coupe or sedan, I remember first seeing the sedan around my area and not even knowing what it was, it just looked amazing. First impressions are always wonderful, well at least with the g35... hehehe

My Desert Platinum/Graphite sedan looks so beautiful, especially at night. I always get a big grin when I see her as I am walking out from the grocery store or Wally World etc. I like the way it looks so much that I often walk the cart back to the store just so I can turn around and enjoy the view again as I walk back to her. My G35 positively GLOWS under those parking lot lights!

 

I think the G35 sedan looks better than the coupe. There are two reasons for it. First, I like the length/width ratio of sedan, which is much slimmer than the coupe's ratio, which seems short and fact, while sedan is long and narrow. Second, it seems to me the coupe doesn't have rear bumper, the trunk and the rear bumper is almost in a straight line when you look from the side, which seems pretty wierd to me. Only one thing I like coupe more than sedan, that is the sedan doesn't have a body-colored bottom, when the coupe does. But if you choose a dark-colored sedan or have aero package, this disadvantage is eliminated. Really, I am always a four-door guy, not many two-door appeals to me, not because of their inconveinence, but because of their short/fat proportion. But it is just how I see it.

The sedan is a bit tall which makes it less sporty when viewed from certain angles. The rear bumper/taillights are a bit at odds. But overall the car's a standout in a crowd of bland designs. BMW design has taken knocks lately for trying to be different. Thank goodness some designers are looking for new shapes in designing new cars. I'd hate to think the future of car design lies entirely in the past (think FORD).

I own a sedan and love the power and handling but got to admit I think the lights in the back are as ugly as [censored]. The rest of the car is so so in the looks department.

But I had to have 4 doors (damn that kid) and I wanted power and performance. So I gave up looks... but that's just me... I have had a few people stop me in the parking lot to tell me how nice looking my car is and I'm like yeah okay thanks

I think the whole classy/sporty/sleek design of the Sedan puts it up over the coupe IMO.

Something about the sedan in black with 4 doors rolling up and drawing everyones attention rather than the little squatty coupe......
