WOW...Impressive results

Hey guys just came from the ol' track and saw a 03 g35 sedan pull a 14.17 quarter mile. It was a 5AT too with a doggy door jesus. My jaw was on the ground... I ran up to the dood like a 13 year old girl asking for an autograph. He only had a pop charger, sways set to max (front/rear), mid pipe, and expensive tires. It was one of those complete stock g's with no leather. He claimed running the tach up and dropping into drive was the way to maximize the 1/4 mile. I couldn't believe it I'm still speechless. I assume his transmission isn't in the best shape but wow!

Yikes... That tranny can NOT be happy... But hey, if he pulled off one low 14second run for a 1500 dollar tranny, more power to him. Lmao... I'd rather put a little money into power making mods before I start destroying ish...

14.17 with those mods is quite impressive. The guy is nuts to be launching like that though. I don't see how the TCM wouldn't freak out and kill the throttle if you did such a thing, but I guess he's doing it

Which track was this? Did you get some runs in?

Did you happen to see what his 60's were?

That's impressive but at a high cost.

yeah the track was in the 909 close to lake elsinore. It's a pretty chill track nobody goes there because it's in the middle of nowhere. It's kinda ghetto though. I took my gxr out there to see a buddy of mine who lives in canyon lake close by so no i didn't race my g. But i did see a modded mazda speed 3 pull a 12.98 which was badass. I couldn't imagine the torque steer on that wow.
