a soon to be G35 sedan driver

Hello all! This is the first site I came upon searching for a G35 forum since my interest in getting a sedan. I've never owned a sedan before, just coupes pretty much. My fiancee and I just had our son, (Trey) 6 months ago. I currently drive a Tacoma X-Runner and she hates riding in the access cab with him back there. (I don't blame her at all, btw). We're forced to take the truck when her mom takes her Accord out. My original plan was to get a 07 Lexus GS350 when they had their end of summer clearance sale. We both agreed that it wasn't as roomy as it looked on the outside. But anyways, I've always liked the body style and feel for the G35 coupe. I'm a young family man with a lovey future wife and baby boy that I can see myself driving them around in a G35 sedan. It will be my daily driver as well. So a friend told me that CARMAX has a pretty nice selection in and around our region. I found an IP 05' with 25k on it for a pretty good deal. It's actually on its way to the Kearney Mesa store they just opened here in San Diego. Hopefully all goes well. We shall see what's to come as far as modding and not driving my lady too crazy. She's eventually gonna trade her Accord in for an SUV..

Well, I'm glad to be apart of the site and I've already found so much info from just browsing the past couple weeks. Cheers to all the G35 dad's on the boards. I love that one thread, btw. Cheers to everone else too

-Dave

Good stuff Dave! I traded my 04 G Coupe for my 05 Sedan when my lady was pregnant with our son, and it was the best decision I made so far! You'll be very happy with the 05S, im sure!

I think you'll like it. I came from a 1.8T Jetta, and so far I dig mine.

Dave, welcome to the forum. Have you ever considered an FX? I have an FX and the wife has the G35 sedan. The FX is sporty and rides good, but if you're thinking about safety for the new baby you might want to consider that it sits higher than a car. Take one for a test drive, you might like it.
