Question: I often notice that when i'm cruising around 80-90km/h that i'm on 4th gear (when i switch to manumatic)

would it save me fuel to shift to 5th gear and lower my rpm and continue to cruise at the same speed?

The transmission always goes to 4 when you put it in manual mode. Yes, 5th will save you fuel cruising on the highway. 4th is a direct drive gear, 5th is an overdrive gear.
