Guys i'm thinking about heading to junkyards to find a nismo kit for the front end. Is it possible to sand it down and repaint it if it's not the right color or will it look stupid?

get it painted, refinished, etc by reputable company and you should be good, and if somethine DOES go wrong, you can blame it on them!

+1
You can get a used one and refinish it. I just painted my Impul front end this weekend and it was going great until the clear coat and now I have to sand it down and repaint the whole thing
Better to have a pro do it the first time!

My cousin's husband works for a huge salvage yard in Florida and he couldn't find anything even at other yards. This was probably about 1 1/2 years ago, so there might be more wrecked G's by now.Originally Posted by SwivelMan
Any idea how rare/plentiful used Nismo fronts/kits might be?
To the OP it should be easy for any shop to respray it to match.
It won't be easy to find one at a local yard unless you are lucky. They are not common.

I would bet money you do not find one. #1 if it was salvageable the owner would have taken it off and sold... #2 if it's in a junk yard its probably is totaled - not likely to have much if any of the kit in tact.
Not trying to burst your bubble... but I wouldn’t waste me time looking.

Damn a Nismo bumper at a junkyard. Don't think so but good luck! You can't even get door handles at the junkyards in MD. As soon as the cars hit the yard they are scavenged!
