Where do they keep the goose?

Whenever I take the engine to red line in any gear, just as soon as I push in the clutch and change gears the engine / exhaust Im not sure what makes a really ugly goose like honk noise - is this normal?

Re: Where do they keep the goose?

They probably use the same one that always craps on my freshly-CG'ed car. I don't heard the sound, though, when I ride in the 6MT.

Re: Where do they keep the goose?

you sure it isn't the VDC kicking in? if your jerky on your shift it will apply the brakes.

anytime I hit redline, I get the rev limiter

Re: Where do they keep the goose?

My car does it too. I first thought it was another car honking their horn at me. It's not the VDC kicking in because it does it for me with or without VDC on. I think its in the hydraulic clutch system.
