Looking at a 05 6-Spd Sedan. Deal or No Deal?
Not sure where you are located but I'm sure the KBB value of the G in question is at least $2K less than the asking price, so that is already a deal to me. Now it's just a matter of visually checking out and test driving the car for any hidden issues. For the '05-'06 models, some of them have oil consumption issues (double-check with the service record on hand and see if that has ever been touched upon). Also, although there are no known recalls for the '05 model, there are a number of TSBs (technical service bulletins) out for the '05 G. You can find and read the entire list here. If you wish, you can download the PDFs as well but you have to register as a member on that site first (it's free), plus you're allowed only 1 download per day. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I ended up buying that 05 G35 Sedan 6-Speed in Vegas!
The car is extremely clean, both in and out, however has a few dents on and around the hood, but overall the car is in perfect condition. The owner seemed to take great care of the car...
Got new tires mounted and drove through horrible snow storms back to Utah. Now I just need to sell my GTI, who wants it? =)

here's a tip for new owner - try and get friendly/be friendly with one of the service guys in the dealership.
I know a guy in my dealership pretty well and it pays. A friend of mine was going to buy an imported G and wanted to have the car completely checked out. I had my dealership buddy inspect the car top to down for free
