"Almost-a-Newbie" questions

Let me preface this with, I have used the search button, done research on this website, along with the internet. I don't yet own one, but I'm shopping in the used sedan market. I like the g35s', and I have a general direction I would like to follow with mods, but i just wanna make sure im not overlooking anything you peeps could help a newbie out with.

Now the questions:
1: Theres a single g35x for around 18k or numerous other rwd g35 sedans for 14k-19k in my area. Is the awd "X" version worth it if i can get it ( I like going fast, previosly owned an Ls1 Trans Am)

2: What parts, exterior, interior, and engine made for the coupe can be used (with little to moderate modification) for the sedan models? And any retrofitting possible from the 07+ sedans to 03-06

3: Where do i find them?

4: What changes have been made to the line through the years 03-06, headlight, interior, perfomance,ect...

Thank you very much for any helpful information

1. If you want AWD go for it... If you are in a climate that rains a lot or lots of snow, get it... If not, I prefer RWD...

2. If you get an 03-04 sedan, the tail lights will swap from the 05-06, the front you will have to swap everything, the side skirts will swap, the rear bumper will swap but you will also have to get a couple other parts to make it work...

3. From me!

4. 03-06 what ever you get you will love... Interior changes between 03-04 / 05-06 and headlights change too, as well as tail lights... lots of pictures on the forum... with your budget, you will be looking at 03-04's...

I would pass on the AWD model and stick with RWD there's more modds available and you can staggar your rims. As far as the different model years the 03/04 and 05/06 have their pros and cons... Better interior goes to the 05/06 along with body color underbody and slightly more HP. 03/04 models have slightly more exterior options...several full body kits. If I was in the market for a used 1st Gen it would be a 2003.5 or 2004 RWD G35 with sports package and factory Aero Kit.

I live in Texas, and annually see very little severe weather conditions, so probably go with the rwd. It was just that the only awds I'm familiar with are evo's and sti's but it seems the g35 awd arent as performance oriented.
Is there anywhere I can see a full list of the body kits available for 03-04 sedans. I have searched in the media share section but I dont know what percantage of the total amount of body kits im looking at

You said you have searched but all of these answers can be found in this section...

1: Theres a single g35x for around 18k or numerous other rwd g35 sedans for 14k-19k in my area. Is the awd "X" version worth it if i can get it ( I like going fast, previosly owned an Ls1 Trans Am)

If you want fast I would go with a rwd 6mt. The atuo robs some power and so does the awd system. If you need awd for bad weather then get it. Since you are in Texas rwd ftw.

2: What parts, exterior, interior, and engine made for the coupe can be used (with little to moderate modification) for the sedan models? And any retrofitting possible from the 07+ sedans to 03-06

What are you looking for? There are lots of parts that can swap.

3: Where do i find them?

Vendors or other members in the marketplace or ebay or craigslist or...

4: What changes have been made to the line through the years 03-06, headlight, interior, perfomance,ect...

You need to search for this. This one has been covered 100's of times.

I realize that ppl dont search thats why I did. I was really trying not to get any replies like the one that precedes this one." nothing personal to ttrank for the post ", I was hoping for a simple laundry list, but every post is very specific to a certain topic ex; this nismo bumper, this s2000 projector, this q45 projector or this coupe midpipe, but not a general overview of which I was looking for. I figured if I was asking a question that would ruffle the feathers of the elders it would be posted a sticky, as a sort of red flag to LOOK HERE FIRST, but the stickys pertain to oil consumption, springs, a twin turboed setup, exhuast clips, clutch, and where to post pics, none of which I asked about.
*****I was really trying not to be the annoying noob, ironically ttrank I researched your car and it has almost single-handedly has swayed me to the g35 market*****

OK you got my normal reply but this has made me laugh. You have done your searching haven't you!

You do have a point about the multiple questions. That is why I tried to give you my fast answer in each one and not just say search. I get most of these in PM's a few times a day too so believe me, I have answered these way more than the normal guy.

I agree with Jason that the Aero (AKA Nismo) kit is the best for the car. If not for my TT I would still have it and be 100% happy.

As for the coupe parts, let us know what you are thinking and we can try to help. It is hard to go over each one.

When you say the radio section do you mean just the navigation or the whole shebang?
