I just got my 05 Sedan on tuesday, and today the passenger door won't open.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm kinda new to cars from dealerships, can I take my car to any Infiniti Service Center? I work down the street from one, and it would be real convenient if they could take care of it.

Yes it doesnt matter where you bought it if its under factory warrnty. Now if its under another warrenty then theres another problem.

 

Try removing the door panel (remove the two screws under the aluminum trim of the interior handle and one screw located at the door lock) - check to see if the cables running to the door lock came off. I would try this before taking it to the dealership.

 

Remember to unlock the door!

Sorry, my door froze open then froze half latched (I was trapped) for my drive home today so I kind of know the feeling.

 

Its an 05 it should still be under factory warranty. You can take it to any Infiniti dealership. Let them fix it for free.

 

Assuming that it's the front pass. door. - Did it open when you picked it up?
If it's the rear Pass Door - and it doesn't open from the inside - Read the manual - it's for kids

I took it to the dealership by my work the next morning. Since it was under warranty, they took care of it. Even though I'm only a five minute walk away from work, they refused to let me walk, dropping me off and picking me up.
