I knew that some change had dropped out of my pocket into the small space between the seat and the center console. At first glance, it seemed pretty hopeless to recover it. However, with persistence I was able to move the seat all the way forward, remove the plastic rail extender by using a stubby flat blade screwdriver to release the lock tab, and fish the coins out from under the seat rail.

i think my spare keys are down there too, but i havent been able to take the interior apart yet to get it. I figure this is about 6 hours of labor to get them out of there.

Not uncommon for a car with a center console at all, I have had several, and that has always been a problem with each one! You think the G is bad, try losing something down there in a late model Mustang, geez, I bet there were still a few things down there when I traded mine in!
