I do still have them sitting around. That's not a bad idea, maybe I could have a shop look into modifying them, it might be cheaper than good leather racing seats and I still have all the power/heat/airbags/TV's. Hmmmm

Don't like the S2k seats, sorry The tops would look so strange in my sedan.

I say no, just because it will look weird with the back seats still stock.

You might look into E36 M3 Vader seats, maybe 911 GT2/GT3 seats as well. The Sparcos just wouldn't flow well.

Who are you??? And EXACTLY why is it "stupid"?? Not that I'm expecting anything resembling an intelligent answer

Again run the racing seat. Who cares when you are running the track and NOT sliding all around in the seat. Makes a BIG diff if you ever sat in a racing seat. The Z seats should be more supportive and lighter. I can see how you might not like that idea since it might actually make a lick of logical sense.

I vote Recaro's in Black, that would be sick.
Do you already have 4/5 point seat belts? If you do end up tracking on a regular basis, I would think that would be the best upgrade. Oh, and don't forget the roll cage

No roll cage or 4pt's for me. A cage in my sedan would be stupid unless I was going to strip it and go for full race. Without the cage to protect me in a roll-over I won't get 4-pt belts so I'm sticking with the oem seatbelt for now.

We'll see if I change my mind after next weekend...

I just looked at Recaro's web site and saw the Ergomed offers side impact air bags, electric adjustment, and heated/cooled seats. Also available in leather.

You have to admit, that was a good point but ttrank responded with the PERFECT answer. Those seats look very comfortable. But I would stay with the coupe seats. Or since you said you have your stock sedan seats laying around, sell all of them so that maybe you can only be $2000 in debt.

I think I am going to talk to one of the local interior shops about taking my coupe seat and adding some extra support to it. I could put my sedan seat back in while they are making the changes and I bet it would be a lot less than buying two new seats.
